This role plays a key part in advancing the Superintendent's priorities by organizing stakeholders, managing timelines, and supporting effective communication and engagement efforts.</p> <p>The intern will work closely with the Superintendent and executive-level staff, gaining hands-on experience in project management, cross-functional collaboration, data organization, and stakeholder engagement within a public school district setting.</p> <p>This is a non-benefited, part-time grant-funded position that is project based in nature. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding and need.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead and support special projects assigned by the Superintendent, ensuring alignment with district goals and strategic priorities </li><li>Assist with the coordination of ad hoc committees by organizing participants, following up on assigned tasks, preparing materials, notetaking, and tracking follow-up actions </li><li>Collect, organize, and analyze data to inform communications, stakeholder engagement efforts, and decision-making processes </li><li>Develop clear and professional written materials including summaries, briefing documents, presentations, reports, and stakeholder updates </li><li>Support community engagement initiatives by assisting with logistics, materials preparation, and stakeholder outreach </li><li>Collaborate with executive staff, central office departments, and school-based personnel to ensure coordination and follow-through on district initiatives </li><li>Maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information </li><li>Perform additional project-related duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to clarity, organization, and audience </li><li>Demonstrated technological proficiency and comfort working across collaborative platforms and project management tools </li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines </li><li>Experience organizing information, tracking progress, and maintaining detailed documentation </li><li>Ability to think strategically, problem-solve proactively, and execute efficiently </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, executive-level office environment </li></ul> <p>Confidentiality & Professional Expectations</p> <ul> <li>This position requires strict adherence to confidentiality, as the intern will work closely with the Superintendent and the executive leadership team </li><li>The intern must exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when exposed to sensitive district information, initiatives, and decision-making processes </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule & Availability</p> <ul> <li>Must be available between 5-15 hours per week during regular business hours. Flexible schedule, with hybrid work encouraged. </li><li>Must have flexibility for occasional evening commitments, such as Board of Education meetings, community forums, or district events. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Background</p> <ul> <li>Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing public administration, education, communications, organizational leadership, business,political science or a related field. </li><li>Demonstrated interest in public education, strategic planning, or public sector leadership </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Non-benefited, grant-funded internship position, ad hoc work work flow as special projects emerge</p> <p>Hourly rate: $24.00 hr</p>
