In this role, you will be the welcoming face that introduces our guests to the world of guitar manufacturing, guiding them through our manufacturing operations and exhibits while providing insights into the history and significance of our company. Your enthusiasm for guitars will ignite curiosity and appreciation among visitors, making their experience memorable and enriching. As a Tour Guide, you will engage with a diverse audience, ranging from guitar aficionados, schools, clubs and those new to the guitar world, ensuring everyone feels welcome and informed. Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for storytelling will be essential as you bring to life the narratives behind our treasured guitars. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of passionate tour guides, participating in ongoing training sessions to deepen your knowledge of guitar building techniques and history. Martin & Co's rich history.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead guided tours of our manufacturing operations and exhibitions. </li><li>Provide detailed and engaging commentary about the manufacturing operations and artists </li><li>Answer visitors' questions and encourage discussion about guitars </li><li>Create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors </li><li>Assist with special events and community engagement activities </li><li>Gather feedback from visitors to improve the tour experience </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Passion for storytelling and knowledge of guitar history </li><li>Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Experience in public speaking is a plus </li><li>Ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences </li><li>Strong storytelling abilities to convey information in an interesting way </li><li>Willingness to learn and continuously improve knowledge of guitar manufacturing practices </li><li>Must be 18 years old </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands & Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting tours. </li><li>Frequent interpersonal interactions with visitors and staff. </li></ul> <p>Work Hours: Flexible schedule, 20-25 hours per week within 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.</p> <p>A condition of employment is that all candidates are required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.</p>
