<p>THE POSITION</p> <p>Bring your experience in food service to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA)! We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Cook 1 to join our dietary staff at the Delaware Valley Veterans' Home. In this role, you will help provide our residents with delicious food and help us continue to provide superior care to Pennsylvania's veterans and their spouses. Your work will involve operating kitchen equipment, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils, and cleaning work surfaces. You will package and label ingredients for recipes, assist in testing and developing new recipes, and collaborate on adjustments for modified diets. Some of your duties will include preparing food items, checking food throughout the cooking process to ensure quality, and assigning tasks to the Food Service Workers. Additionally, you will manage the inventory of food supplies and assist with training new food service staff.</p> <p>Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.</p> <p>Work Schedule and Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time employment, 40 hours per week </li><li>Work hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch.
