<p>Title: Program Support Tech (Hourly): Keen Mountain Correctional Center #W0005</p> <p>State Role Title: Admin and Office Spec III</p> <p>Hiring Range: $17.50 - $24.63</p> <p>Pay Band: 3</p> <p>Agency: Dept of Corr - Central Admin</p> <p>Location: Keen Mountain Correctional Ctr</p> <p>Agency Website: www.vadoc.virginia.gov</p> <p>Recruitment Type: General Public - G</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>To provide direct Human Resource program support to staff relative to Payroll, timekeeping, employee relations, recruitment, benefits programs, and various other areas of Human Resources as required. Provides documentation for ACA and PREA Files.</p> <p>This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 - April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Experience in offices practices, procedures, and office equipment. Working knowledge of a variety of manual and automated filing systems; of Standard English grammar, punctuation, and usage. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Access to accomplish office support requirements. Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow oral and written rules and regulation; to maintain harmonious working and public relations; to learn new practices, procedures, and equipment operations. Demonstrated ability to organize and complete work assignments with minimal guidance from others; to understand and apply operating procedures and compose written response to inquiries. Considerable recent experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting. Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain automated and manual filing systems. Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information in a courteous manner. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner</p> <p>Additional Considerations</p> <p>Knowledge of State Procurement and Electronic Virginia (eVa). Skill in the use of Outlook, Access, and Publisher. Experience in providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting. Recent experience using office equipment (i.e., computers, printers, copier, and fax machine). Background in record keeping. Experience using CORIS.
