<p>Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support advanced aerospace and defense initiatives in El Segundo, CA. This role will contribute to the development of complex, highly integrated systems with a focus on digital engineering and autonomy, supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.</p> <p>Responsibilities for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:</p> <ul> <li>Support MBSE implementation and digital engineering strategy across system development programs </li><li>Work with engineering teams to support system design, modeling, and integration efforts </li><li>Perform requirements analysis, system architecture development, and trade studies </li><li>Develop and maintain SysML models using tools such as Cameo/MSOSA </li><li>Support verification, validation, and test planning activities </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with program requirements and delivery timelines </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field </li><li>5+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 3+ years with Master's) </li><li>Experience with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw) and SysML modeling </li><li>Understanding of systems engineering processes and lifecycle methodologies </li><li>Strong analytical and communication skills </li><li>Previous Experience with Avionics Preferred </li><li>Active Secret Clearance required </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Model-Based Systems Engineer includes:</p> <p>Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 depending on experience</p> <p>Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Sick Leave as required by law</p> <p>This job opens for applications on 3/20/2026.
