<p>Sussex County Community College is seeking an Head Men's Soccer Coach for the 25-26 Season. The Head Men's Soccer Coach is responsible for preparing and training the Soccer team to perform competitively throughout the season. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the sport, excellent motivational skills, and the ability to foster teamwork.</p> <p>The ideal candidate should possess:</p> <ul> <li>A strong understanding of the sport </li><li>Excellent motivational skills </li><li>Effective teamwork abilities </li></ul> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Program leadership and development </li><li>Build a successful men's soccer program in a manner consistent with the principles and goals of the institutional Athletic Department Mission Statemen </li><li>Work collaboratively with departmental colleagues and institutional colleagues; </li><li>Direct coaching activities during practice and competition; </li><li>Prioritize and organize recruitment activities for the program; </li><li>Abide by the rules, regulations and philosophies of the College as well as any affiliation rules and regulations which may be applicable to the sport; </li><li>•Prioritize student-athletes in academic success and overall campus experience; </li><li>Follow and abide by all safety rules and regulations; </li><li>Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the Soccer program, aligning with the values of Sussex County Community College and NJCAA Division I principles; </li><li>Oversee the planning, organization, and implementation of practices, game strategies, and training sessions; </li><li>Develop a competitive and inclusive team culture that prioritizes student-athlete success both on and off the field; Recruitment & Retention </li><li>Lead recruitment efforts to attract talented student-athletes who are a strong fit academically, athletically, and culturally with the college; </li><li>Collaborate with the admissions department and maintain relationships with high school coaches, clubs, and potential recruits to build a diverse and competitive roster; Mentorship & Student Development </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous playing/coaching of soccer preferred.
