One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a major base near Watford - a complex, high-profile environment where we provide a full range of hard, soft, and technical FM services.</p> <p>We're now seeking a Maintenance Assistant (Storesperson) to be based full time onsite at HA6 3HP, responsible for supporting the operation of the engineering stores located around the Northwood site including receipt and dispatch of spares, equipment and tools, transportation of tools and equipment around the site in support of engineering activities.</p> <p>The role will also see you escorting "non-cleared" staff, visitors and sub-contractors as necessary in accordance with the site security requirements and providing general assistance to the maintenance team as and when directed.</p> <p>As Maintenance Assistant - you will:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure the engineering stores and workshops are inspected and maintained in a clean and tidy condition at all times. </li><li>Maintain a complete and up to date stores inventory of all spares, tools and equipment including updating databases and carry out regular stock checks. </li><li>Ensure all persons requiring escorting are correctly identified and always comply with the site security and safety requirements. </li><li>Carry out weekly fire alarm testing. </li><li>Carry out reactive tasks for engraving / printing of signs and badges where required. </li><li>Provide general assistance as and when directed in support of engineering and asset management tasks. </li></ul> <p>Maintenance Assistant - Skills and Experience required:</p> <ul> <li>Good team working skills, but also ability to work on your own. </li><li>Must be able to adapt to changing priorities at a moment's notice. </li><li>Must be able to fully satisfy the Client security clearance minimum requirements (SC). </li><li>Previous experience of general maintenance environment. </li><li>Excellent team working and problem-solving capabilities. </li><li>Excellent customer care skills. </li><li>Full UK Driving License. </li></ul> <p>This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared.
