<p>Position Title</p> <p>Adjunct Instructor of Exercise and Sport Science</p> <p>Hours Per Week</p> <p>Not to exceed 83 hours per month</p> <p>Posting Date</p> <p>May 2021</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Adjunct Instructor</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <ul> <li> <p>Teach various courses in the Sport and Exercise Science</p> </li><li> <p>Assign grades for courses as necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Complete course assessment documentation as necessary</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills And Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Willingness to learn the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid, and/or distance learning (online) courses</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge and skills with software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrated teaching experience</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of one year experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of competencies required for specific courses</p> </li><li> <p>Excellence in teaching and facilitating the learning process for students</p> </li><li> <p>Applying diverse instructional strategies, including use of technology, in response to learner demographics and learning styles</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent oral, written, and listening skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required: Master's degree in appropriate area for courses to be taught</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Minimum of two years' experience in the profession</p> </li><li> <p>Previous teaching experience at the high school or post-secondary level</p> </li><li> <p>Certification or license appropriate to specialty (e.g., NATA, ACSM, NSCA)</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Available for Fall and Spring semesters on site at the main campus in Lebanon, TN.</p> <p>Application Requirements</p> <p>An electronic version of your cover letter, curriculum vitae, philosophy of teaching, unofficial graduate transcripts, and 5 references is required.</p>
