Natural Encounters, Inc. is offering an immediate seasonal opportunity at our Ranch facility in Winter Haven, Florida and it might be a great fit for you.</p> <p>As a Seasonal Ranch Trainer, you'll gain real world experience in professional animal care and learn the basics of behavior training. You'll work closely with a passionate team that's committed to first-class animal welfare and positive reinforcement practices.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing:</p> <ul> <li>Helping with daily care like cleaning, feeding, and enrichment </li><li>Assisting with simple training behaviors (ex. stationing, shifting, and crating) </li><li>Observing and reporting on animal behavior </li><li>Pitching in to keep the work environment safe, clean, and well-organized </li></ul> <p>Who We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>You have a high school diploma or GED </li><li>Some hands on experience (internships or volunteering) in animal care is a big plus </li><li>You're comfortable working outdoors in Florida's heat </li><li>You're a solid communicator, a team player, and eager to learn </li><li>You're reliable, positive, and able to work weekends and holidays </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need Physically:</p> <ul> <li>Able to lift 50 lbs </li><li>Comfortable being on your feet and moving around for most of the day </li><li>OK working in a loud, fast-paced environment </li></ul> <p>The seasonal position is limited to a maximun of 39.5 hours per week and up to 120 days.</p> <p>This position is a great way to get valuable experience in the field.
