<p>Job Overview</p> <p>As a Cost Accountant, you'll manage accounting transactions, compile financial information, handle billing, and create accurate financial reports for the Wallingford, CT location.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Reconcile General Ledger accounts and support month-end closing </li><li>Create daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports </li><li>Manage fixed assets, track depreciation, and analyze profit/loss statements </li><li>Record and reconcile balance sheet accounts and accruals </li><li>Prepare product costing calculations </li><li>Handle intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies </li><li>Prepare and monitor capital expenditure requests (AFEs) </li><li>Support audits, budgeting, and special financial projects </li><li>Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams </li><li>Collaborate with leadership on financial planning and business strategy </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field </li><li>5-8 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred) </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills </li><li>Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC requirements </li><li>Experience working with operational teams </li><li>Adaptable to change with proven flexibility </li><li>JD Edwards and Hyperion knowledge is a plus </li></ul> <p>#LI-KP1</p>
