This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <p>As Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. You'll collaborate with engineers, program managers, and customer stakeholders to develop materials that support cloud implementation, training, compliance, and ongoing operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and maintain high-quality documentation including manuals, user guides, SOPs, training materials, and technical reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with cloud engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and program leadership to gather source content and ensure accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Support proposal development and contract deliverables by contributing to written sections and formatting artifacts.</p> </li><li> <p>Often uses a blend of creativity and ingenuity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Support proposal development and contract deliverables by contributing to written sections and formatting artifacts.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure documentation aligns with government standards, federal compliance requirements, and Leidos quality expectations.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage version control and document lifecycle across multiple workstreams.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the creation of visual aids, diagrams, and templates to enhance clarity and usability.</p> </li><li> <p>Seek continuous improvement and keep up with industry trends and best practices in information technology and technical writing.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Typically requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.</p> </li><li> <p>Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven experience supporting government programs, with a strong understanding of federal contracting environments.</p> </li><li> <p>US citizenship required.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably supporting federal or DoD programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to write and edit complex technical content for both technical and non-technical audiences.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with cloud technologies, cybersecurity principles, and enterprise IT environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, Adobe Acrobat).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of Agile development environments and DevSecOps practices. </li></ul> <p>C1NACSS</p> <p>If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
