<p>Our client is a National OEM heavy equipment distributor seeking a Regional Controller who will grow into the CFO role. As the Controller, you will oversee the company's financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a Generalist who will manage all aspects of the accounting department and prepare financial statements. More importantly, ideal candidates will be well-versed and have hands-on experience to provide key financial information to support business decisions. This position is an in-office opportunity with flexibility and is located in the Central New York area.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Candidates with a strong background in accounting and finance, with a "Generalist" accounting background are ideal candidates for this position particularly with heavy equipment parts inventory management and service labor revenue streams, are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, with a focus on maximizing profitability from parts and service operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues, and more. </li><li>Closely monitor the company's financial health </li><li>Ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting and compliance </li><li>Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices </li><li>Responsible for the management and oversight of the company's accounting functions to also including inventory. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and/or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance </li><li>CPA designation is preferred </li><li>Experience as a Generalist in Accounting and Finance </li><li>Solid computer skills and knowledge of accounting software and inventory systems </li><li>Experience with or responsibility for drawing up budgets, allocating expenses, and revenue forecasting </li><li>Having the experience and knowledge of the local, state, and federal tax laws and business regulations, ensuring the company operates within the proper parameters </li><li>Solid organizational, problem-solving, and excellent use of logic </li></ul> <p>Salary: $115,000 - $150,000.</p> <p>Benefits: The Client company offers excellent benefits! 401(K)/Match, Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, Disability, Vacation, Sick time, Work-life balance, and more!</p> <p>EOE</p>
