The successful candidate will be a member of the TSU and Grundy County Extension. This position is 100% 4-H Youth Development.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be a member of TSU and Grundy County Extension. This</p> <p>position is 100% 4-H Youth Development. This position will be responsible for planning,</p> <p>implementing, evaluating, and reporting 4-H Youth Development educational programs as</p> <p>needed in the county. In addition, this position includes planning, executing, and evaluating</p> <p>programs, events, and activities through traditional 4-H clubs, project groups, educational</p> <p>workshops, camps, conferences, and special interest classes. Program delivery methods will</p> <p>involve volunteer recruitment, site and home visits, phone calls, workshops, newsletters,</p> <p>media, etc. The Extension Agent will develop and maintain good public relations with</p> <p>educational officials, collaborative agencies, program sponsors and elected and appointed</p> <p>officials. This position will plan, execute, and evaluate the 4-H programs based on County,</p> <p>State and Federal Programs and clientele needs. He/She will perform other related duties as</p> <p>required by County, Regional, and State Extension Administrators.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, or closely related field is required. Experience in Extension, teaching or other youth development activities is preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule which will include some nights, weekends, and overnight travel. Access to a personal vehicle and the ability to obtain/maintain a valid Tennessee driver's license.
