<p>Current Saint Francis Employees - Please click HERE to login and apply.</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Shift: Monday - Friday (10:00am to 6:30pm)</p> <p>Job Summary: The Upholsterer is responsible for the reupholstering and repairing of furniture, Environmental Services Equipment, drapes, cubicle curtains and various mattress pads.</p> <p>Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.</p> <p>Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.</p> <p>Work Experience: 1 year related experience, preferred.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Ability to sew by sewing machine. Ability to use a surger, staple gun, basic power tools, and steamer.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Reupholsters furniture, drapes, curtains and mattress pads. Repairs chairs, drapes, EVS equipment, curtains and mattress pads. Operates power equipment such as sewing machines, power tools, surger, staple guns and steamer. Prepares work orders by identifying correct labor and material charges. Manages inventory of fabric, parts, and equipment. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Follows departmental safety procedures and practices safe body mechanics. Assists Director of Environmental Services by prioritizing workloads and preparing job estimates.</p> <p>Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.</p> <p>Working Relationships: Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction.</p> <p>Special Job Dimensions: None.</p> <p>Supplemental Information: This document generally describes the essential functions of the job and the physical demands required to perform the job.
