Our owners are proud Utahns.</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Summary: Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, the Sweeper Operator is responsible for cleaning the pavement prior, during and after paving to ensure proper quality and housekeeping.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Visualize, fulfill, and implement the Clyde Companies Inc. (CCI) vision and core values within the Organization. </li><li>Responsible for operation and repair practices on sweepers. </li><li>Clean pavement prior to, during, and after paving to keep up with proper quality and housekeeping. </li><li>Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed. </li><li>Maintain and submit sweeping logs to necessary divisions/ agencies. </li><li>Maintain tools as required to do the job. </li><li>Maintain commercial driver's license (CDL) and Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card. </li><li>Maintain HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements and Federal Clearance. </li><li>Operate forklift. </li><li>Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times. </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).</p> <p>Individual Development (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow instructions </li><li>Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and familiar with associated components </li><li>Knowledge of welding, cutting and fabrication </li></ul> <p>Training and Development:</p> <ul> <li>Develop knowledge of heavy equipment safety </li><li>New Employee Orientation </li><li>Customer Service </li><li>Brake Repair Training and Certification </li><li>Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) </li><li>Complete Annual Operator Training </li><li>DOT Compliance Training </li><li>Defensive Driving </li><li>Forklift Certification </li><li>OPAC (Smoke School) </li><li>Physical Demands /Safety are dependent on location of position.
