The Diabetes Education Coordinator is responsible for all outpatient diabetes education within the Endocrinology Department. This includes individual and group instruction for all persons with diabetes including Type 1 Diabetes (T1DM), Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) and Gestational Diabetes (GDM). This education provides persons with diabetes the skill set needed to safely self-manage their individual diabetes. The Diabetes Education Coordinator educates in accordance with the provider's diagnoses and requirements of ADCES (Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists) and Main Line Health. The Diabetes Education Coordinator functions as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate diabetes care plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and Grow your Career! No weekends; no holidays</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in related field required.</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other Healthcare field required.</p> <p>Master's Degree Preferred.</p> <p>BLS Certification by American Heart Association preferred upon hire, required in timeframe specified in CPR Policy</p> <p>Licensures/Certifications:</p> <p>Licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a Professional Nurse required.
