<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The HR Benefits Specialist plays a key role in administering and interpreting collective bargaining agreements and NYS, SUNY, and RF policies related to employee benefits. This position serves as the first point of contact for the benefits department, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries and supporting the delivery of exceptional HR customer service.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements and applicable NYS, SUNY, and RF policies based on bargaining unit and/or employment classification. </li><li>Act as the first point of contact for the benefits department. </li><li>Triage inquiries and provide first-level responses to all benefits-related questions. </li><li>Oversee: Benefits mailbox, AskHR inquiries/tickets, and in-person questions regarding benefits matters </li><li>Communicate regularly with employees, the benefits team, and other HR areas. </li><li>Assist in reducing waiting times for unscheduled and walk-in inquiries. </li><li>Support HR strategic plan deliverables, including maintaining: OneUp, AskHR, & HeRo </li><li>Play a significant role in improving employee satisfaction in day-to-day HR operations, specifically in employee benefits (health insurance, retirement, etc.). </li><li>Assist with: weekly orientations, retirement selections, & health insurance enrollment </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management (or related field), and two years of related professional experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Previous human resource experience in a healthcare, higher education or public organizational setting strongly preferred.</p> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>Monday-Friday, days</p> <p>Message to Applicants:</p> <p>Recruitment Office: Human Resources</p>
