<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Staff Recruiting Specialist II</p> <p>Job Group:</p> <p>Professional & Scientific</p> <p>Required Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience working in an applicant tracking system, ideally, Workday recruiting.</p> <p>Demonstrated experience creating recruitment marketing and sourcing plans.</p> <p>Experience with end-to-end/full-desk recruitment process, filling a variety of positions.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Iowa State University Human Resources (UHR)?is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Recruiting Specialist II (SRS). The SRS plays a critical role in the recruitment & selection process for all staff across the university in collaboration with campus leaders. The SRS reports to the Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition.</p> <p>As an SRS, you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and guide hiring managers through the full recruiting life cycle, building strong partnerships across all UHR functions and with campus leaders.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop creative sourcing strategies, provide high-touch candidate and hiring manager care.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure best practices and compliance throughout the interview and hiring process.</p> </li><li> <p>Be the subject matter expert for recruitment & selection policies and procedures, and stay up to date on local, state, and federal employment policies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Who We're Looking for:</p> <p>We're seeking a proactive and innovative team player to help drive talent acquisition efforts at Iowa State. This individual will bring a minimum of three years of recruitment experience, ideally supporting a variety of roles. To be successful in this role, you will be skilled in outstanding communication and collaboration, paired with strong adaptability and creative problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making decisions, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meeting deadlines.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>Lead and Manage the Recruitment and Selection Process:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Serve as the lead point-of-contact for campus staff recruitment in designated departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and execute robust and innovative recruitment strategies to attract and hire top university talent.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage job requisitions from end to end, including creating attractive job posting advertisements.</p> </li><li> <p>Review applicants against requirements for roles and manage each stage of the recruitment and hiring process, including reference checks, offers, and background checks.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead hiring managers through the process, advising as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Provide High-Touch Customer Service:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide timely follow-up to candidates and hiring managers for process and timeline updates.</p> </li></ul> <p>Ensure Compliance:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Apply working knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, and industry best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records in Workday recruiting.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Details:</p> <ul> <li> <p>While this is a hybrid/remote position, in-office work may be required during the orientation and training period.</p> </li><li> <p>Continued in-office work is required during the week, typically on Tuesdays at a minimum.</p> </li><li> <p>Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
