<p>What to Expect</p> <p>As a Technical Supervisor you will have the critical task of managing the priorities and tasks of the engineering technician team. Your experience in fast-paced production lines as well as strong technical background will make you an ideal candidate for this role. You have a passion for employee development and enjoy the process of training and developing the next generation of engineers. You are very hands-on, energetic, and have a capacity to think critically on many different complicated processes. Your proven ability to collaborate with employees, peers, and managers is one of your key strengths for success.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide technical training to all technicians (8D, Kaizen, DMAIC, lean principles)</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the process and quality teams to support on-going projects</p> </li><li> <p>Work with shift managers and other production supervisors daily to create priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Work with cross-functional teams including process engineering, equipment engineering and maintenance teams</p> </li><li> <p>Work with the training coordinators ensuring manufacturing Instructions, versatility matrices and other technical documentation are current</p> </li><li> <p>Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Focus: Responsibilities include ensuring team safety training, documenting EHS incidents, proactively identifying workplace hazards, and empowering teams towards continuous operational improvements</p> </li><li> <p>Reports OEE (cycle time/availability/performance) and required headcount for each area</p> </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years' experience working in a production engineering role</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years managing teams of people in a production environment</p> </li><li> <p>Must have experience managing direct reports in a production environment</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing and 6-Sigma principles</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)</p> </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
