<p>Job Description: Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) is seeking a part-time Bilingual Instructor to deliver comprehensive training for its Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certificate, CPR Certification, Home Health Aide (HHA) Training, and Alzheimer's & Neurological Disorders program. The selected candidate will deliver instruction in accordance with guidelines established by STCC and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH).</p> <p>The Instructor will provide high quality instruction and prepare students with the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competencies required for entry-level employment in healthcare settings and successful completion of the Massachusetts Nurse Aide Certification examination.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be committed to student success, skilled in adult education, and experienced in long-term care and home health settings.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Deliver instruction using the established college-approved curriculum and course materials.Provide classroom lectures and hands-on clinical skills training.Foster a learner-centered classroom environment and differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.Assess and evaluate student learning to ensure mastery of required skills and competencies for certification and employment as a Nurse Aide and/or Home Health Aide.Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills documentation in compliance with DPH and college requirements.Ensure full compliance with Massachusetts DPH standards and regulations.Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clinical affiliates.Coordinate student clinical rotations and supervise students during clinical experiences.Collaborate with fellow instructors, tutors, and Workforce Development staff.Compile and submit grade-related and program documentation as required.Perform additional duties as assigned.</p> <p>Requirements: Current and valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.At least one (1) year of experience in a long-term care setting.Bilingual proficiency (Fluent in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred).Demonstrated ability to lead instruction and facilitate discussions.Valid Driver's License.Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a teacher, trainer, healthcare instructor, or direct nurse aide supervisor, including: Lesson planning and deliveryStudent evaluation and remediationExperience as an in-service coordinator or staff educator in a healthcare setting, orCompletion of at least 24 Board of Registration in Nursing-approved continuing education hours in curriculum development, adult learning theory, and student evaluation. Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Post-secondary teaching experience.Prior DPH instructor approval and teaching experience.Experience working with and supporting diverse student populations.</p> <p>EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT:</p> <p>Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Work is primarily performed in a classroom and laboratory environment on campus and at the assigned clinical facility with moderate noise levels. The position requires:</p> <p>Ability to remain stationary and move throughout classrooms, labs, or office spaces.Ability to operate computers, office equipment, and instructional technology.Frequent communication with students, faculty, staff, and community members.Ability to exchange accurate information in various settings.Ability to drive to and from the clinical facility.</p> <p>Additional Information: Salary: $65.00 per hour Benefits: No Union: No Grant Funded: No Closing Date: Open Until Filled</p> <p>All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
