<p>Job Title: Design Testing Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a Design Testing Engineer who will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and executing testing procedures to ensure our automation equipment meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, QA, and development teams to deliver robust and timely automation solutions that support manufacturing excellence. You will spend 70% of your time in the lab, 20% supporting production, and 10% working within CAD software for redesign.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain quality testing systems for automation equipment. </li><li>Identify and troubleshoot potential issues within the current manufacturing environment. </li><li>Collaborate with QA and development teams to define testing strategies and enhance test coverage. </li><li>Review and analyze requirements, SOPs, manuals, and technical specifications to create effective test cases. </li><li>Monitor test results, diagnose failures, and coordinate with developers for timely resolution. </li><li>Maintain consistent and repeatable automation testing protocols. </li><li>Conduct audits with QA to ensure equipment remains optimized and compliant with OEM standards. </li><li>Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and promote automation best practices. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree within an Engineering Discipline. </li><li>2+ years of 3D CAD experience (familiarity with Inventor and Fusion 360 is a plus, but open to any software). </li><li>2+ years of mechanical support tied to product and process testing. </li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across multiple departments. </li><li>Ability to thrive within a dynamic setting. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in pneumatic and electrical systems testing is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based onsite with 65 to 70 employees working together. The work schedule is the first shift, fully onsite from Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST. You will be part of a team of four other engineers, including a Mechanical Engineer, a Mechanical Engineering Technician, a Controls Systems Engineer, and an Assembler.
