<p>Medical Assistant</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and professional Back-Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.</p> <p>PAY - $18-$20</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Contact patients via phone or mail regarding the need for medical evaluations, abnormal test results, or missed appointments. </li><li>Contribute to maintaining an orderly environment for patients and staff. </li><li>Report patient or family member complaints or questions to the health center or office manager. </li><li>Work collaboratively with supervisors to improve patient care quality and nursing time management. </li><li>Cooperate with staff members to provide top-notch patient care. </li><li>Clarify provider orders or procedures to ensure quality patient care. </li><li>Take and record patients' vital signs and measurements, notifying responsible nurse or provider of any unusual findings. </li><li>Answer phones and record clear messages in patients' charts. </li><li>Clean and restock examination rooms. </li><li>Conduct eyesight and hearing tests using the Snellen Eye Test and Hearing Test. </li><li>Obtain laboratory specimens. </li><li>Monitor and restock supplies, notifying the appropriate person when levels are low. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures. </li><li>At least 2 years of experience in a similar role. </li><li>High School diploma or GED equivalent. </li><li>Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>CCMA certification is advantageous and offers a pay increase, though not required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work is conducted at a single site with multiple specialties, offering a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. This position features a slow-paced environment, typically seeing around 12-15 patients per provider, providing an excellent opportunity to gain experience across multiple specialties. The dress code is professional attire suitable for a healthcare setting.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sauget, IL.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
