Bridgestone and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products and solutions to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>We're currently looking for a Lead Accountant, Consolidations & Data Governance to join our team in Nashville, TN.</p> <p>This role will be responsible for ownership of the company's corporate chart of account structure and governance including account mapping and account creation/close. This position will be heavily involved in the month-end close process, partnering with the business to ensure timely submission of financial data to be consolidated. This position is a critical piece of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process and will be expected to oversee and meet the tight consolidation timeline each month.</p> <ul> <li>This role is a HYBRID schedule in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday @ Bridgestone HQ in Nashville, TN. * </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain financial master data records, including GL accounts, mapping tables, and reporting structures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that all master data changes follow governance protocols and receive appropriate approvals.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial tools (Group Reporting & SAP), ensuring accurate data collection and reporting. Support testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements related to financial system changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and enforce internal controls related to master data and financial systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and escalate risks related to financial data governance.</p> </li><li> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration & Financial Reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems</p> </li><li> <p>3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial systems, and/or financial governance.</p> </li><li> <p>Possess an understanding of corporate financial consolidations, internal controls, and month-end close procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>CPA or CISA certification preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Accounting/financial close and consolidation experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in SAP and Group Reporting</p> </li></ul>
