We invite you to apply to be a part of our University community!</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>To provide quality experience-based instruction to Information Technology Systems students in both classroom and laboratory environments.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver quality, experience-based instruction and hands-on laboratory activities designed to prepare students for successful entry into the workforce </li><li>Collaboratively work with program faculty, the Department Chair, and Technical Advisory Committee members to develop and maintain program curriculum </li><li>Participate in professional development activities to maintain state certification and engage in lifelong learning </li><li>Collaboratively work with program faculty and administrators to continuously assess and improve the program. This will include collecting data to assess student outcomes, participating in meetings to discuss and assess the quality of the program, and developing reports for the program review process. </li><li>Actively participate in departmental, college, university, and community professional service opportunities </li><li>Recruit and advise Information Technology Systems students </li><li>Develop and maintain quality relationships with business/industry and other employers </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must possess or be eligible and willing to obtain a Postsecondary Limited Occupational Specialist (LOS) certification from the Idaho Division of Career & Technical Education (IDCTE), including meeting at least one of the following criteria: </li></ul> <p>a. Hold or have held an approved industry certification in a field closely related to the content area in which the individual seeks to teach as defined by IDCTE.</p> <p>b. Demonstrate a minimum of 6,000 industry hours-half or more of which occurred in the past five years-of professional experience in a field closely related to the content area you want to teach; or</p> <p>c. Hold a baccalaureate degree in a field closely related to the content area you want to teach and demonstrate 2,000 hours-half or more of which occurred in the past five years-of professional experience in a field closely related to the content area you want to teach; experience in a field closely related to the content area you want to teach.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral forms </li><li>Strong interpersonal and presentation skills </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and professional development </li><li>Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or higher in Information Technology Systems, or a closely related field of study </li><li>Four or more years of full-time, successful, recent, gainful employment in an Information Technology related occupation </li><li>Experience teaching/training others in a professional or educational setting </li><li>Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Server operating systems </li><li>Knowledge of, and experience working with Microsoft Cloud </li><li>Knowledge of, and experience working with virtual operating systems </li><li>Knowledge of, and experience working with Linux </li><li>Knowledge of, and experience working with Powershell </li><li>Knowledge of, and experience working with the Internet of Things (IoT) </li><li>CompTIA A+ certifications </li><li>Cisco instructor certifications </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>You must submit your CV/resume, cover letter, and list of three (3) professional references, including current contact information. Salary will be between $75,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
