<ul> <li>Run and manage multiple complex projects under the umbrella of a defined program and take responsibility for their delivery using formal program management techniques as appropriate </li><li>Ensure that program executive sponsorship, governance, organizational structure, scope, objectives and success criteria are established </li><li>Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders (Business/Product Owners, IT) to outline the program approach, sequencing of work and resourcing necessary to execute effectively </li><li>Facilitate the business and product owner decisioning process, as necessary </li><li>Establish and facilitate Program Steering Committee and Program Governance meetings as appropriate </li><li>Manage project dependencies across and related to the program ensuring delivery alignment </li><li>Drive delivery of projects within the program with predictable consistency and efficiency with focus on achieving expected results </li><li>Manage program scope and ensure proper change governance is implemented </li><li>Identify and manage program level issues/risks. Create actionable mitigation strategies that will increase delivery confidence and avoid delays that could adversely affect program success </li><li>Actively manage program communications and relationships with program stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including the Executive Management </li><li>Ensure proper governance to ensure included projects are delivered on time, meet the business & technical requirements, and delivered within the agreed budget </li><li>Manage, monitor and report progress against milestones and budgets, ensuring consistent and transparent communications are provided to Management and Executive Leadership </li><li>Manage program change management and training efforts to ensure operational impacts are minimized </li><li>Assist with vendor (Systems Integrator, Software, other) relationship management </li><li>Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to project managers, resource managers and product owners by building and motivating the team to meet project goals, adhering to their assigned responsibilities and project milestones </li><li>Create and manage a program culture of transparency and accountability </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships and setting expectations with all stakeholders and act as the key point of contact for the project </li><li>Any additional duties and responsibilities that may be expected to be undertaken in accordance with the role </li></ul> <p>Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Educated to bachelor's degree level, preferably in IT or similar field </li><li>10 + years of experience in successfully managing the delivering of IT Solutions in Applications delivery and Transformation projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally in a global Finance/Insurance or regulated industry </li><li>Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation </li><li>Ability to lead and direct the project under a unified project lens without compromising business outcomes and priority constraints </li><li>Ability to work in complex organization structures and tenaciously forge a path for delivery resulting in delivery </li><li>Excellent communication skills, strong experience in managing the diverging interests of various stakeholders </li><li>Proven ability to create meaningful reports and summarize project health status for stakeholder presentations </li><li>Proven ability to manage and track project costs and budgets to agreed baselines </li><li>Ability to drive a mixture of functional and geographic workstreams and co-ordinate step change delivery to the business in a unified way </li><li>Consulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and sharing </li><li>A self-motivated individual able to work with varying organizational and geographic styles to the end goal of unifying and standardizing the delivery culture and capability </li><li>Fluent spoken and written English </li><li>Willingness to travel internationally </li></ul> <p>At Munich Re US, we see Diversity and Inclusion as a solution to the challenges and opportunities all around us.
