An association of nine YMCAs serving Chester County, the YMCA of Greater Brandywine is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living, and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.</p> <p>Perks & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Free family YMCA membership, including outdoor pools </li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with paid holidays and plentiful PTO for full-time employees </li><li>Babysitting while you work (up to 4 hours per day) </li><li>Generous program discounts on childcare, camp, youth sports, swimming lessons and more! </li><li>12% employer contribution to retirement savings upon reaching eligibility and optional 403B retirement savings plan upon hire. </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Continuing education reimbursement, tuition discounts with Chestnut Hill College and Immaculata University </li><li>Career development and paid training </li><li>Unlimited referral bonus beginning at $300.00 </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for scheduling, training, supervising and evaluating performance of Theater and Art camp staff. </li><li>Oversee and implement Theater and Art curriculum with emphasis of theme week/days and fun activities for campers. </li><li>Collaborates with camp leadership for scheduling, training, supervising and evaluating performance of day camp staff. </li><li>Assists with the oversight and implementation of day camp curriculum with emphasis of theme week/days and fun activities for campers. </li><li>Assists with the planning, scheduling, and supervision of Family Fun Events for camp. </li><li>Assists with scheduled camp staff meetings. </li><li>Coordinates, develops, and implements plans for themes, lessons, and age-appropriate </li><li>activities for camp that reflect the philosophy of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine. </li><li>Provide direction and communication feedback to counselors regarding related issues as well as administrative issues and decisions. </li><li>Develops and maintains good working relationships with the directors, staff, caregivers and families by way of open communication, positive problem solving, flexibility, and teamwork. </li><li>Maintains YMCA requirements/ratios and ensures all staff members do the same. </li><li>Ensure comprehensive compliance with all YMCA policies, Praesidium standards, American Camp Association (ACA) standards, and state licensing requirements. </li><li>Serve as incident commander for unit-level emergencies and coordinate with camp leadership on broader emergency response </li><li>Document and report all incidents, accidents, and behavioral concerns following established protocols. </li><li>Monitor health and wellness of campers and staff, coordinating with Camp leadership as needed </li><li>Conduct hourly ratio checks and maintain required camper to staff ratios and ensure staff certification compliance </li><li>Participate in strategic planning, pre-season preparation, and post-season evaluation processes </li><li>Assume acting camp leadership responsibilities when Assistant Camp Director or Camp Director are unavailable </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul>
