The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive athletic healthcare services to our student-athletes in both high school and middle school.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or related field (Master's degree preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Current certification from the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (BOC)</p> </li><li> <p>Valid state licensure in athletic training</p> </li><li> <p>Current CPR and Emergency Cardiac Care certification</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience as an Athletic Trainer in a high school or college setting</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with coaches and staff</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work evenings and weekends as required</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student-athletes</p> </li><li> <p>Provide first aid, injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with school nurses and administrators on student health and safety policies</p> </li><li> <p>Attend athletic games, practices, and events for both high school and middle school sports</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate athletic training coverage for interscholastic athletic events</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate injury and treatment records</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with parents, coaches, and physicians regarding athletes' conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Establish daily hours of operation for the athletic training facility</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct electronic concussion baseline testing and implement "return to play" protocols</p> </li><li> <p>Educate athletes, coaches, and parents on injury prevention and sports safety</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate annual athletic physicals and clearance for injured athletes</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a budget for athletic training supplies and equipment</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stretch as required for immediate response to athletes' needs</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Mobility to move quickly in emergency situations</p> </li></ul> <p>Terms of Employment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full-time position</p> </li><li> <p>Salary commensurate with experience and education</p> </li><li> <p>Follows the athletic season schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>All application materials must be submitted online, through Applitrack; should you have any difficulty in submitting your online application please contact (860)945-4813.</p> <p>Watertown Public Schools reserves the right to close the posting if a suitable candidate is found prior to the external closing date.</p> <p>Attachment(s):</p> <ul> <li>#2295 Athletic Trainer - WPS.pdf </li></ul>
