<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>To deliver desired, sustainable business outcomes and assure the integrity and continuity of our systems. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of AutoZone's hardware, software and/or network systems. This includes teaching domain expertise, providing technical guidance and mentoring, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Participate in any and potentially all roles of the systems development life cycle. Roles may vary by project and assignment. </li><li>This may include, but not limited to: </li><li>Develop, plan and/or maintain software applications and/or systems; debug, design, code, test, write specifications, roll-out software, and production support. </li><li>Technical services; software, hardware and network architecture design and maintenance; security operations. </li><li>Store engineering, coding based on design provided and roll-out implementation. </li><li>Accurate work planning and execution; accurate project and time tracking. </li><li>Responsible for the development of less experienced AutoZoners; mentor and teach. </li><li>Responsible for defining code specifications and how systems will be constructed. </li><li>Conduct code reviews. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred </li><li>Typically requires eight to fifteen years experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities. </li><li>Knowledge of MS Office. </li><li>Expert proficiency with the AutoZone software, architecture and methodology. </li><li>Technical skills may include experience with one or more of: UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cobol, Java, MS SQL, C, C++, Informix, Greenplum, Hadoop, ATG, QT4, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CSP, CICS, TCP/IP, Networking and LAN administration. </li><li>Advanced problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills. </li><li>Advanced expertise in at least one technical area. Subject matter expertise in more than one functional area. </li><li>Teaching, coaching and mentoring. </li><li>Advanced system estimation, planning and execution skills. </li><li>Often provides technical supervision to others. </li></ul>
